It was later revealed that Gilliano and Stuart had gotten into an argument in the parking lot after the bar closed.
Gilliano then drove away in his car and came back a few minutes later with a gun, authorities said.
According to a witness, he then pointed the gun at Stuart and shot him.
Stuart was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Gilliano was found guilty by a jury on March 3 and must serve 34 years before he is eligible for parole.
