More details were revealed after authorities say they shot and killed a man in a New Jersey standoff on Saturday that was shown on video. Viewer discretion advised for content.

The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office identified the man as Rashaun Washington, 37, of W. Industrial Blvd in Bridgeton.

The incident happened at approximately 11:22 a.m. when Vineland police officers were dispatched to a W. Wood Street house where Washington was "acting suspiciously" on the front porch, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.

The encounter between the officers and the man lasted for several minutes, ending with Washington being fatality shot, according to the CCPO.

The investigation is being conducted by the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office in accordance with Attorney General Directive 2006-05 regarding Uniform Statewide Procedures and Best Practices for Conducting Police Use of Force Investigations, according to the CCPO.
