MU ALPHA THETA HONOR SOCIETY STUDENTS DO THE MATH
12 students were inducted into Rowan College at Gloucester County's Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honor society on April 14.

Twelve of Rowan College at Gloucester County’s (RCGC) top student achievers proved that when it comes to numbers, they can do the math during the Mu Alpha Theta two-year college mathematics honor society induction ceremony on Thursday, April 14.
“Mathematics is the backbone of all STEM majors. Without math, the world would cease to exist,” Mu Alpha Theta faculty advisor Greg Buthusiem told inductees, noting that even Rolling Stone Magazine published an article about the importance of algorithms.
According to Buthusiem, RCGC is one of the few community colleges in the area to be part of the mathematics honor society. “This gives our students a distinction over other community colleges,” he said of the society now in its fifth year at RCGC. “This is our largest group of inductees ever.”
