New Coronavirus Cases In West Deptford; Antibody Testing To Begin
Gloucester County will begin coronavirus antibody testing next week.

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ - Two more West Deptford residents have tested positive for the coronavirus, and Gloucester County officials have announced they will begin antibody testing for the virus.
Antibody testing will begin May 26 for residents who:
- Are not experiencing coronavirus symptoms;
- Have not had a fever in the previous 3 days; or
- Have had or suspect they have had coronavirus, but have not experienced any new symptoms in the past 10 days. These symptoms include loss of smell or taste, difficult breathing, feeling weak or lethargic, lightheadedness or dizziness, vomiting or diarrhea.
Antibody testing is not for residents who:

- Were diagnosed with coronavirus less than 10 days prior;
- Were directly exposed to the virus in the 14 days prior; or
- Have a condition that weakens the immune system.

In order to receive antibody testing, Gloucester County residents must contact the Gloucester County COVID-19 hotline at 856-218-4142. Phone lines will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Residents should have their insurance information available when they call. Antibody testing is open to Gloucester County residents 18 and older only. Testing will take place at these locations on the following dates and times:

Two West Deptford women, ages 72 and 25, were among 38 new cases of coronavirus reported in Gloucester County on Wednesday. Two additional deaths were also reported, involving a 77-year-old Washington Township woman and a 40-year-old Pitman woman.
As of Wednesday, Gloucester County has conducted 9,703 total tests. Of these cases, 7,726 have come back negative and 6 are pending. There are now 1,971 cases with 128 confirmed deaths.
Gloucester County officials remind residents that the threat of coronavirus remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
