Cops: South Jersey Man Found Dead Under Mattress In N.Y. Hotel Room

A 28-year-old New Jersey man was found dead under a mattress early Monday inside a Midtown Manhattan hotel room, police said.

Goodwin had suffered trauma to the back of his head, though authorities were still in the process of determining his official cause of death on Monday night, according to PIX11.

Goodwin, described by police as a “pimp,” was found in the room by security at the Hilton Garden Inn at West 35th Street just after 4 a.m., according to WABC-TV.
Police claim Goodwin would send prostitutes out to work, and they would return to the hotel with the money they made during the night, according to the report.

Detectives believe a prostitute brought three men back to the hotel room to rob Goodwin, who was known to carry thousands of dollars in cash, according to the report.
