NJ Family Reportedly Finds Scorpion While Unpacking From Vacation
The venomous scorpion was discovered by a New Jersey family while they were unpacking.

NEW JERSEY – A New Jersey family reportedly found a venomous scorpion while unpacking from their vacation.
The state Division of Fish & Wildlife took possession of the scorpion after the Vineland family discovered on Monday it in their luggage while unpacking from their Costa Rica vacation, according to The Daily Journal.
The family secured it in a golf bag in their garage as they alerted the city’s Animal Control Officer, according to The Daily Journal. New Jersey Conservation Police Officer Keith Fox later arrived and place it in plastic takeout food container with air holes poked into the lid.

The state Department of Environmental Protection confirmed to NJ Advance Media that wildlife officials retrieved it and are working to find it an appropriate home.
The scorpion will likely be making New Jersey a home if it can be placed in a safe and secure venue, according to the reports, such as a local zoo.
