Pair Wanted For Luring Man Into Armed Robbery In South Jersey: Authorities

The unidentified suspects promised to buy some of the victim's belongings before luring him elsewhere and pulling out a gun, police said.

GLASSBORO, NJ — Two people are wanted for luring a man into an armed robbery a few weeks ago in Glassboro, police said Wednesday.

The unidentified suspects approached the victim as he walked at the Route 322 circle around 4:30 p.m. Nov. 24, police said.

They asked the victim if he knew where they could purchase marijuana, authorities said. When he told them no, the suspects asked about some of the victim's personal items, which he agreed to sell to them.

The suspects lured the man to Academy and Grillo streets, promising to pay him, police said. One of the suspects said he had to ride his bike home to get the money.

When the suspect returned, he pulled up his shirt, removed a black handgun from his waistband and told the victim to turn over all of his belongings, police said.

The victim complied, and the suspects fled the scene. The suspects headed south on Academy Street and continued in that direction past Grove Street, according to law enforcement.

Police described the suspects as two Black males (pictured above) — one tall and thin and the second shorter than the other.
