Parent, Student Assault Officer, Teacher At South Jersey School: Police
The suspects assaulted a school-resource officer in the lobby area, authorities said.
WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ — A parent and student were arrested Friday morning after assaulting a police officer and teacher inside Williamstown High School, authorities said.
A large number of officers were called in shortly after 9 a.m., when they learned that a parent and student assaulted a school-resource officer in the lobby area. The suspects also assaulted a faculty member, police said.
The school was place in a "temporary hold" during the incident but has since resumed normal operations, police said.

The school-resource officer sustained injuries to his face and hands, police said.
Police did not share the suspects' identities or specify any charges. The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details are available as of this writing.

"We will have zero tolerance for this type of behavior in our schools, including parents and juveniles," said the Monroe Township Police Department.
