Pedestrian Struck, Killed On South Jersey Highway: Police
A pickup truck hit the man while he was in the left lane, authorities said.
LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A vehicle fatally struck a man Wednesday night on Interstate 295 in Gloucester County, authorities said.
Troopers responded to the crash, which killed Jair Reyes-Garcia, at 10:41 p.m. on I-295 south at milepost 13, according to State Police.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Ram pickup truck was traveling southbound when the vehicle hit Reyes-Garcia, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesperson. Reyes-Garcia, 25, of Philadelphia, died from his injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
It's unclear whether Reyes-Garcia was crossing the street or walking up the roadway. No additional information on this incident is available, Lebron told Patch on Thursday morning.
