Philly Pretzel Factory Fire Extinguished In South Jersey
Local firefighters have been busy lately, whether it's responding to wildfires of a batch of pretzels left in the oven.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — South Jersey firefighters answer the call, whether it sends them to a raging wildfire or Philly Pretzel Factory.
On Sunday night, A neighboring business reported smoke coming from Philly Pretzel Factory's Washington Township location. Firefighters forced entry and discovered the source: a batch of pretzels left in the oven.
The fire was extinguished, and the store was able to reopen Monday.

Washington Township firefighters answered more than 35 calls in 24 hours, the agency said Sunday night.
It was a particularly busy day for first responders in Gloucester County, as heavy smoke from the Glassboro wildfire traveled into surrounding communities. The smoke triggered several residents' carbon-monoxide detectors, which are sensitive to smoke.
