RCGC Announces February People In Transition Workshops

All People In Transition workshops scheduled for the following month of 2015 are listed below:

Deptford Twp. –The Center for People in Transition at Rowan College at Gloucester County hosts a number of empowerment, legal and financial workshops during the month of February. All workshops are free and open to the public. Must be at least 18 years or older to register. Call 856-415-2222 or email peopleintransition@rcgc.edu to register.

Start Rite! - Everything you ever wanted to know about opening a business presented in the format of preparing your formal written business plan. Legal, marketing, accounting, and financing are all addressed in depth as are techniques to make the project happen. Laws of Separation and Divorce – An attorney from the Gloucester County Bar Association’s Family Law Committee will speak on court procedures and timing, grounds of divorce, selecting and helping your attorney and setting goals. He will discuss the issues of equitable distribution, custody, visitation, alimony and other concerns. It meets Wed., Feb. 4, 7 –9 pm.

Breaking the Anger Habit: Identifying Triggers and Solutions to our Rage - Anger becomes a problem when it is felt too intensely, frequently or expressed inappropriately. In this workshop, participants will learn to manage their anger and develop self-control over their thoughts and actions to avoid the negative consequences that often follow angry outbursts. By the end of this workshop, participants will identify the triggers to their anger responses and develop a plan to control their anger.
