RCSJ's Foundation Director Dances for Student Scholarships
Rowan College Foundation at Gloucester County Director Cody Miller Raises $71,835 for Student Scholarships "Dancing with the Stars"

Rowan College of South Jersey’s (RCSJ) Foundation Director Cody Miller laced up his dance shoes for a good cause on Thursday, Sept. 26, raising $71,835 for student scholarships during The Greater Woodbury Chamber of Commerce’s 14th annual “Dancing with the Gloucester County Stars” competition at Auletto Caterers in Almonesson.
Miller, together with dance partner, Michaela Smith, of LaPierre Ballroom Dance Studio in Glassboro, performed the Argentine Tango, Bachata, Salsa and Peabody— plus a finale created by Miller and Smith to “When the Midnight Choo-Choo Leaves for Alabam” that had Miller, and the crowd, singing. Miller was the top fundraiser.
“I was so proud to dance for an organization that helped me to pay for my education,” said Miller, of Williamstown, following his performance. “I'm thankful that I get to pay it forward by helping students afford college at in institution that has been my home since I first started as a student here not long ago.”

Coincidentally, Smith, of Franklinville, is currently a student at RCSJ majoring in Arts and Science. For weeks, the dancing duo have practiced at the Glassboro studio, successfully choreographing their steps to dance away with the Community Award prize. The money raised will go to support all RSCJ–Gloucester Campus Foundation scholarships. The winner of the evening’s dance competition, Rita Cangi-Kramer, raised $21,177 for the Alzheimer Association.
