Rowan College ACT Students Tour NJ State House
Twenty-six ACT students from RCGC visited the NJ state house last week and met with Governor Christie and Senate President Stephen Sweeney
Deptford Twp. – Twenty-six students from Rowan College at Gloucester County’s Adult Center for Transition (ACT) toured New Jersey’s State Capital building on Friday, April 10, as part of an outside-the-classroom learning experience focused on enhancing knowledge of civic and social sciences. The trip included a visit to the legislative chambers and meeting Governor Chris Christie and Senate President Stephen Sweeney.
Students in the ACT program receive classroom instruction designed to enrich their basic
academic, vocational and life skills, as well as staying informed about events in their community and the world around them.
