Rowan College Present its 2015 Spring Concert

The annual event takes place Sunday, May 3

Deptford Twp. – Music fans will have a chance to witness the wondrous splendor of classical Americana during the annual spring concert held by the College / Community Chorus of Rowan College at Gloucester County on Sunday, May 3, at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center.

Community Chorus Director Lawrence DePasquale will conduct the concert, showcasing decades of celebrated American folk music, orchestration and poetry with students and members of the community.

Opening with the beloved “Offertory” by John Ness Beck, the concert will run through the works of notable American artists like poet Robert Frost and composer Edward MacDowell, as well as familiar songs like; “The Crawdad Song,” “Ching-A-Ring-Chaw,” “Shenandoah,” “Skip To My Lou” and plenty more, culminating with Douglas Wagner’s iconic “And Wherever You Go.”

Tickets for Sunday’s one-hour event will be available for $5. Children 12 and under will have free admittance and are encouraged to attend.

Rowan College at Gloucester County is located at 1400 Tanyard Road in Deptford, just off Exit 56 of Route 55.
