Rowan College Women's Group Gives From The Heart

Deptford Twp. – Members of the Rowan College at Gloucester County Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) celebrated the holiday season with good food, comradery and giving during their annual luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Each year, the women’s group becomes Santa’s little helpers selecting an organization to support with donations to help make the holiday a little brighter.

Rowan College AAWCC members (left to right) Jeanne LaBuz, Samantha Van Kooy and Patricia Claghorn presented Karen Urbaniak (center), development coordinator for Choices of the Heart, with newborn baby items, including outfits, blankets, towels, shampoos, lotions and toys. Located in Turnersville, Choices of the Heart offers confidential and free assistance to men and women faced with unplanned pregnancies by providing testing, counseling and referrals.
