Student Threatens South Jersey School In Wake Of Wisconsin Shooting
The student's 'written threat list' wasn't credible, officials said. But police have increased their presence at the school.
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A student's threat against a South Jersey school, which emerged in the wake of a deadly school shooting in Wisconsin, was deemed not credible, officials said Tuesday.
A middle school student in the Clearview Regional School District had a "written threat list," said Superintendent John Horchak III.
District officials worked with Harrison Township police to investigate the matter. The list was deemed not credible or actionable, but the school increased its police presence on Tuesday.

"You may have noticed that there was additional police presence this morning," Horchak said in a letter to the district community, "which has been the standard protocol, especially after any national shooting, like the event in Wisconsin yesterday."
It wasn't immediately clear whether the student is facing criminal charges — as some children did during a wave of threats against South Jersey schools that came after September's mass shooting at a Georgia school.

A 15-year-old student opened fire Monday at a small Christian school in Madison, Wisconsin. Two people were killed and six were injured before the shooter killed herself, authorities said.
