ELK TOWNSHIP, NJ — A teen who drowned in a Gloucester County lake has been identified as a Guatemala resident.

Daniel Miranda, 19, of San Marcos, was reported missing at 2:08 p.m. Saturday. He was last seen in the water at Lake Garrison, a popular visitor's destination in Elk Township, officials said.

About 20 minutes later, Miranda was found unresponsive in the water and brought to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators determined that he died from accidental drowning.
