West Deptford Center Stage Players Open Registration, Auditions

The West Deptford Center Stage Players submitted the following news release:

The West Deptford Center Stage Players will present three productions sure to entertain and engage children and adults of all ages. These productions will be performed in July and registration and audition dates are being accepted now.

This growing organization is entering its fifth season. With West Deptford Board of Education-approved staff, the students of Center Stage Players are engaged each day with all aspects of theatre, music, production and activities.

Special programs and speakers are included in the registration fee of $100 for first child and any siblings are only $75.

Registration fees include music, scripts, special programs and some other materials used by the students in the program. Go to wdhsvocalmusic.org to download the registration form.

Starlighters—children ages 6 to 8—will perform The Jungle Book Kids on July 12 and 13. The jungle is jumping with jazz with this fun Disney classic. Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan.

Show Stoppers—ages 9 to 13—will perform Seussical, Jr. on July 12 and 13. A delightful show with a colorful cast of characters by the beloved Dr. Seuss in this fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza!

The Mainstagers—ages 14 and up—will perform The Producers on July 27 and 28. This laugh out loud, in your face comedy will wow audiences each night and leave theater-goers singing an outrageous tune or two.   

Starlighters and Show Stoppers auditions are May 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. and May 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Rehearsals for Starlighters and Show Stoppers start on Monday, June 4. The Mainstagers start rehearsal on Tuesday, May 29.
