West Deptford Marchers Grab Second Win

Another week, another win.

The West Deptford Marching Eagles took the field at and came away with their second first-place trophy in as many competitions, winning Group 3 Open with an 86.35 Saturday night.

The band racked up the highest music score of any band in the competition, and would’ve had the top overall score, were it not for a one-point penalty for being slightly under the minimum performance length.

West Deptford remains atop the Tournament of Bands Group 3 Open standings, tied now with Brick Memorial for the highest score of the season.

The Eagles compete next weekend at Clearview Saturday night, before coming home to host the 38th Music in Cadence competition at Oct. 15.
