West Deptford Marchers Stay Perfect At Clearview

It's been three first-place finishes in three competitions for the Eagles.

, West Deptford Marching Eagles drum major Michelle Cullen was succinct when it came to whether the band could recapture the Atlantic Coast Championship trophy it took home a year ago:

“Definitely.”

Through their first three competitions of the season, it's hard to argue with her enthusiasm–no one's been better than the Eagles.

West Deptford won their third straight competition Saturday night, placing first in Group 3 Open at Clearview with a score of 89.3, beating out Toms River North for the top spot in the group.

Besides being the top Open-class band of any size at Clearview, West Deptford's score, just shy of three points higher than a week ago, vaulted it back alone atop the overall Tournament of Bands Group 3 Open standings, after they ended .

This week, the band will get set to host the 38th annual Music In Cadence competition Saturday night at the stadium. Twenty bands from throughout New Jersey and Delaware will compete that night, in what will be the largest competition so far this season.
