Wildfire Burns In Gloucester Co. As Crews Battle Another NJ Blaze

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Another wildfire is burning in South Jersey.

The fire is burning around Carpenter Avenue in the Glassboro Wildlife Management Area, officials said at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Meanwhile, crews from throughout the region are working to contain and protect homes from a 200-acre wildfire at the Evesham-Voorhees border.

The fire in Glassboro is multiple acres, but officials haven't estimated its size as of 4 p.m. Thursday. Crew are strategically burning fuel to slow its advance and assist with containment efforts, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.

Officials did not say whether any homes or buildings are at risk.
