Man Killed In Union County Drive-By Shooting That Injured Toddler Identified

The Union County Prosecutor's Office said the shooting happened when a gunman fired into a car parked on Salem Avenue.

ELIZABETH, NJ — A man was killed and two others were injured Monday in a drive-by shooting in Elizabeth, according to the Union County Prosecutor's Office (UCPO). A toddler was among those injured.

The shooting happened at around 8:30 p.m. in the area of the 600 block of Salem Avenue when someone fired into a car parked, officials said.

Three people were in the car when the shooting happened. Guerley Edouard, 28, of Roselle, was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A 23-year-old woman and a 3-year-old girl suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, according to the UCPO.

The suspect fled the scene in a black sedan, according to CBS New York. No arrests have been made.
