153 Westfield High School Students Inducted Into National Honor Society

Westfield, NJ -- In recognition of academic excellence, leadership, service and character, 140 juniors and 13 seniors from Westfield High School were inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) on April 28.

Assistant Principal Derrick Nelson awarded the students with certificates and Scott Rutherford, NHS Advisor, presented NHS pins and charms.

New Officers elected for next year are Spencer Fishman, Michael Hauge, Julia Mazzucco, Nick Nolan, and Cameron Scalera.

Music for the evening’s program was provided by Albert Chen, Jake Barrow, Brian Lawrence, and Jack Ritter.

The characteristics associated with membership in the NHS -- student excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character – have been a hallmark of the organization since its beginning in 1921.
