According to Linda King, Supervisor of Visual and Performing Arts, “Studies have shown that young people who participate in the arts for at least three hours, three days a week for a year are four times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, three times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools, and four times more likely to participate in a math and science fair.”
“In Westfield we give children every opportunity to succeed in the Arts and I thank the community for its continued support. We make sure they are getting their fair share of arts education, which can also lead to children becoming more well-rounded individuals. We invite you to enjoy a concert and take pride in the accomplishments of Westfield’s children under the guidance of our wonderful teachers/directors,” added Dr. King.
