McKinley Elementary School celebrated nations of the world in spectacular fashion.

WESTFIELD, NJ - A time-honored tradition at McKinley Elementary School in Westfield celebrated the nations of the world in spectacular fashion as part of an International Celebration.

For more than two decades, third graders have researched and written about a specific country,
using that information to compose a speech to perform at an International Celebration. Each student in a group touches on an aspect of the assigned country, whether history, culture, food, sports and leisure, and other traditions.

“This celebration gives our students the opportunity to show off the many skills they have acquired throughout the school year,” Third grade teacher Brendan Hickey said.
