2. 40-Road Improvement Plan Underway In Westfield, School-Area Roads Targeted First (patch.com) — Westfield residents can expect significant paving work on Rahway Avenue and nearly 40 local roads, with school-area streets prioritized for completion before classes resume. Town Administrator Jim Gildea said 16 school-adjacent roads should be finished by month's end, while about 28 less critical roads will follow in September and early October, aiming to minimize disruption.
