St. Paul’s Day School Introduces KinderPlus, a New Kindergarten Wrap Program

St. Paul’s Day School is happy to introduce KinderPlus, a brand-new, academically based program designed to complement half-day kindergarten, giving parents of AM-session students the option to provide their child with a full day of learning. Beginning in Fall 2013, children can attend KinderPlus one, two or three afternoons a week, and a bus will be provided from Lincoln School in Westfield.

KinderPlus weaves academic skills with exciting projects and game-based learning activities, offering:

  • Certified teachers and small class size
  • Writing Workshop using Lucy Calkins’s Units of Study
  • Project-based learning, which facilitates learning using children’s natural curiosity
  • Handwriting Without Tears
  • Skype in the Classroom, exchanging ideas and projects with kindergarten classes from other parts of the world
  • Math concepts like graphing, tallying and addition/subtraction taught with fun, hands-on games
  • Imagination Station, including a veterinarian’s office, lemonade stand, television studio or pizza restaurant where children can apply writing and math skills

KinderPlus will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12:45 to 2:45 PM, with Lunch Bunch (children bring their own lunch) available from 11:45 AM to 12:40 PM for an additional fee.  The tuition schedule is as follows:
