Brief: BOE Changed Sports Gear Conditioning Supplier

The Board of Education changed the school district's sports conditioning gear supplier last year in response to an FBI investigation into the previous sports conditioning supplier.

BOE spokeswoman Lorre Korecky said the district changed suppliers from Circle Systems to All American Ridell. Former WHS Athletic Director Ed Tranchina in November 2009 that the district would be looking for a new supplier following the details of the FBI investigation.

Circle Systems has been charged by the U.S. Attorney's office with defrauding school districts and providing the state with fake price quotes. Two company executives were on Wednesday.
