Broken Bones In Big NJ High School Basketball Game Fight: Video

The fight, captured on video, happened during the post-game handshake. A boy was knocked unconscious.

A New Jersey basketball player suffered a concussion, a broken bone in his face and a serious eye injury after being punched at the end of a game Tuesday, according to reports.

The fight was captured on video by several news organizations (see below).

Shakim Bibby was hit in the face as Linden and Plainfield lined up for their post game handshake, prompting a brawl to break out in the Plainfield High School gymnasium, his father Kirk Bibby told nj.com. The boy was knocked unconscious after being thrown to the ground and kicked, his father said.

He was brought to a local hospital where his father said he isn't doing well, and the boy hasn't been able to return to school, according to nj.com.
