Build A Better Gingerbread House In Westfield

WESTFIELD, NJ - Whether you are professional baking champions or talented home frosters the town of Westfield has thrown down the gauntlet to see who can create the best edible gingerbread house.

There will be prizes in the following categories:

• Grand Prize
• Kids Only Effort (14 and younger)
• Family Effort
• Iconic Westfield Building

According to organizers, houses can be constructed of any safe-to-eat-materials and residents are invited to conjure all of their creativity, imagination, and whimsy this holiday season to create magic. Houses also don't have to be houses and bonus points will be assigned for using Westfield buildings.

To begin, residents must register here by Tuesday. Completed projects, presented on a cake board or a wooden board must be dropped off to Savory Spice during normal business hours between Dec. 13 and Dec. 17.

Entries must include an index card attached to your project with:

• Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number
• Address
• Category

The house, iconic Westfield building or village should not be larger than 2' x 2'.

Judging will be People's Choice, and winners will be announced on New Year's Day.
