Temple Sholom Celebrates High Holy Days 5787, Opens Registration to the Community
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Temple Sholom is preparing for the High Holy Days with a full schedule of services and programs, and registration is now open to the community.
Temple Sholom is proud to host the Community S'lichot program on September 5, with a dessert reception at 8pm followed by an evening of learning and prayer. Register here: CommunitySlichot.
The New Year begins with Rosh Hashanah observances on September 11 through 13, with Erev Rosh Hashanah, children's and morning services, a Tashlich ceremony by the water, and a second day of programming including Pray & Play for families, services, and a Lunch & Learn program.
Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) follows on September 20 and 21, beginning with Kol Nidrei and continuing through morning services, Yizkor, N'ilah, and a congregational Break the Fast to close the day.
Registration is open to the wider community, not just Temple Sholom members. All of our children’s services and programs are open to the public. College students may be admitted to all services with a valid college ID, with a suggested donation of $18. Guests and non-members can register at tiered rates depending on age, with full pricing details available online.
“We, as a Temple family, are looking forward with hope to a happy and healthy New Year for both our local community and the world. At Temple Sholom, we open our doors and our hearts to those who want to worship with us and we pray the New Year of 5787 is filled with shalom (peace) for all.” Rabbi Emily Losben-Ostrov, Temple Sholom
The full schedule, including service times, and online registration are available at sholomnj.org/hhd5787.
