“THE JEWS AND THEIR LAND: WHY ISRAEL MATTERS”
The Union County Torah Center–Chabad will present “The Jews and Their Land: Why Israel Matters,” an online class delivered by Rabbi Levi Block, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Presented as part of the center’s “Exploring Timeless Jewish Wisdom for Everyday Life” series, the class will examine the unique and enduring relationship between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel.
Why does Israel hold such a deep connection for every Jew, even for those who have never been there? The Torah shows that our bond to the land goes far beyond geography or politics—it is spiritual, rooted in G-d’s promise to Avraham and reaffirmed to his descendants.
This class explores that enduring connection, from the earliest promises to its impact on Jewish life today, revealing why Israel is not just a place, but the heart of our people.
Participants will discover how the Torah describes the Jewish people’s relationship with the land, how that bond has been carried through the generations, and why Israel continues to occupy such a central place in Jewish identity and spiritual life.
The class will be delivered live on Zoom. Registration is required at https://torahcenterchabad.org/why-israel-matters/ to receive the Zoom link.
