Westfield Area Y Flyers Host a Track Meet June 23
The Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club is a USATF certified club that serves more than 600 athletes throughout the year.
The Westfield Area Y Flyers Track Club is hosting the first Flyers Track Meet at Kehler Stadium on June 23. The meet is USATF certified and is scheduled to start at noon.
Athletes ages 7-16 are invited to participate. Track events will include: 200m Hurdles, 1500m Race Walk, 100m Dash, 1500m Run, 400m Dash, 800m Run, 200m Dash and the 4x400m relay and field events: Long Jump, Shot Put, and the Turbo Javelin.
Athletes will be grouped by the birth year per USATF rules. Age Divisions will include 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-16. Awards will be given to the top 6 finishers in each age group. Athletes that are interested in participating can register for the meet by contacting Greg Hatzisavvas. Each event is $7.
