Car Left Unlocked, Running To Warm Up Stolen In Westfield
"With the colder weather coming, please avoid leaving your vehicle unlocked while warming it up," warned Westfield Police.
WESTFIELD, NJ — A vehicle left unlocked and running to warm up in the cold was stolen in Westfield on Thursday morning, police reported.
Between 6:45 and 6:55 a.m., a vehicle was stolen from Boynton Court.
A 2020 white Honda Civic was left running to warm up. The vehicle was unlocked with the key fob inside, said police.

"With the colder weather coming, please avoid leaving your vehicle unlocked while warming it up. We understand that everyone would like to get into a warm vehicle on a chilly morning, but thieves are also aware of this, and they are lurking to steal unattended vehicles," said Town of Westfield, NJ Police Department.
