Fatal Crash: Car Hits Multiple People Near School In Linden
A car struck multiple people on Friday morning, and at least one was killed.
A car struck multiple people on a New Jersey street on Friday morning, killing one, police said.
Two victims, both from New York, were struck in the crash. The first victim, a 44 year-old woman, was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway where she was later pronounced dead, according to police.
The second victim, a 54 year-old man, was transported to University Hospital in Newark with serious injuries, police said.

The accident happened just blocks from Linden High School. They were hit at about 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of St. Georges Avenue and DeWitt Street, according to police.
St. George Avenue was closed in both directions between Ercama and Summit streets. The road was later reopened.

The accident remains under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau.
