Celebrating Earth Day In Westfield Public Schools
The Westfield Public School District's Green Team held an Earth Day Poster Contest for students in grades 6-12.
WESTFIELD, NJ — To celebrate Earth Day on April 22, the Westfield Public School District’s Green Team held an Earth Day Poster Contest for students in grades 6-12.
The contest was organized by K-12 Supervisor of Science Thomas Paterson, who leads the district’s new Green Team.
The poster contest theme was "Invest in our Planet" and the winning designs were announced on April 21:

"We had many wonderful submissions for the 2023 Earth Day Poster contest; they showed the creativity and talent of our students," says Paterson. "I hope this year’s Earth Day theme is taken to heart because an Investment in our Planet is an investment in the future of our children."
