Drive Through Westfield Haunted Car Wash On October Weekends, Starring Union County Teens
A Scotch Plains-based theater program is running this spooky event in Westfield on October weekends, and kids from both towns are helping.
WESTFIELD AND SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Play Theater, a performing arts program for kids based in Scotch Plains, is partnering with Team Car Wash in Westfield to provide a spooky (and silly) experience each weekend in October, and it'll help fund their programs.
Masked and costumed characters are played by talented teenagers from Westfield, Scotch Plains, Union, Roselle, and Linden (see the list below).
Individuals or families can drive through the car wash at 215 South Avenue East in Westfield (next to Bohemian Raspberry Yogurt) and choose from either a "silly or spooky experience," organizers say.

"Carloads will engage with creepy costumed characters on the line," the organizers said, "listen to seasonal music and holiday-themed audio, and leave with a clean car and memories to last through Halloween."
The Haunted Car Wash will take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, Oct. 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, and 30 from 6-9 p.m. The $20 entry fee includes the "works wash" and spooky fun.
