Halloween Parade Planned In Downtown Westfield

Local shops will also hold trick-or-treating before the Oct. 25 parade.

Downtown Westfield is gearing up for some Halloween fun later this month.

Shops and restaurants in downtown Westfield will host a trick-or-treating event on Sunday, Oct .25 from 12 to 2 p.m. Trick-or-treating will be followed by a Halloween Parade at 2:15 p.m.

The parade begins on Quimby Street, and will go down North Avenue, Prospect Street, Broad Street, Elm Street and back to Quimby Street, according to information from Westfield Today.

The costume contest, in conjunction with the parade, is sponsored by Downtown Westfield Corporation.

“Costume contest judges will watch the parade and hand out medals and winner cards during and after the parade. Children from pre-school through elementary school ages may participate,” according to Westfield Today.

Parade participants should line up on Quimby Street at 2 pm; children should be accompanied by an adult.

The event is organized by the Downtown Westfield Corporation.
