Hazmat Cleanup, Fuel Spill Prompt Closures On Route 1&9 In Union County

UNION COUNTY, NJ —A fuel spill and hazmat cleanup has caused lanes on Route 1&9 to close in Rahway on Wednesday.

The spill is located on the southbound side of Route 1&9 located north of East Scott Avenue in Rahway, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation's 511NJ website.

As a result, the 2 right lanes of three lanes are closed between Avenue C and the Rahway border.
