Help Westfield 2-Year-Old Become 'Baby Of The Year'
Jaxon Pimentel of Westfield is competing in Colossal's Baby of the Year contest. Voting remains open through Thursday.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Two-year-old Jaxon Pimentel of Westfield is competing to become Colossal's Baby of the Year and needs your help.
Pimentel is currently sitting at second place out of the Top 20 in his group. Winners will star in an ad campaign in Good Housekeeping and also receive a $25,000 cash prize.
"My baby should be Baby of the Year because he brings joy to everyone he meets with his big smile and larger-than-life personality," said Pimentel's mom Jessica.

Jessica came across the contest promotion on social media and recognized it as an excellent opportunity to highlight "my son’s infectious smile and enthusiasm for life."
"I believe Jaxon is a deserving candidate for the award due to his exceptional inner and outer qualities. He is an energetic, fun-loving, and caring individual who consistently brings joy and positivity to those around him. His presence brightens every room, leaving a lasting impression and smiles on everyone’s faces," said Jessica Pimentel.

Jaxon is described as a friendly, playful, and affectionate boy giving hugs and blowing kisses to everyone he meets.
"While he is independent, he also loves to follow his older sister and cousins lead. He’s funny and loves making everyone laugh. Jaxon is kind and caring, loves to take care of others. Helping others makes him happy. He is the kind of child that beats to his own drum and leaves a trail of smiles behind him wherever he goes," according to Jaxon's contestant page.
Jaxon enjoys swimming, dancing, playing in the sand, playing sports (soccer, baseball and basketball), running and climbing on the playground.
He also enjoys playing pretend in the kitchen cooking meals for the family or acting out a scene as Spider-man or Hulk.
"Jaxon possesses an exceptional outgoing personality and a remarkable talent for uplifting those around him, which are qualities I greatly admire," said Jessica Pimentel.
Pimentel's mom Jessica said the $25,000 prize would be transformative for their family, enhancing Jaxon’s education, health, and personal growth, while boosting their financial security.

The contest benefits Baby2Baby, a national nonprofit organization that provides children living in poverty with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities. Actress and Founder of The Honest Company, Jessica Alba is a longtime Baby2Baby Board Member.
