Library Seeks Nonprofit Organizations to Table at 2nd Volunteer Fair

(November 20, 2024) The Westfield Memorial Library is pleased to announce that registration is open for nonprofit organizations that wish to participate in the library’s 2nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Volunteer Fair. The event will be held on Sunday, January 12th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Westfield Memorial Library.

“Volunteers are the heart and soul of many nonprofit organizations in the greater Westfield area,” says Allen McGinley, Library Director. “But finding individuals who have the time, energy, and passion to be of service can be difficult.”

There is no cost for nonprofit organizations to table at this event, but registration is required. Organizations who register prior to December 1st will be featured in the event’s advertising to the public.

Registration will include a 6-ft table with fitted black tablecloth, and two chairs. Organizations are encouraged to bring their own custom tablecloth, but it is not required.

“More than 100 people attended the first volunteer fair to learn about service opportunities in the Westfield,” says McGinley. “And we expect even more participation for the 2nd annual event.”

Library hours are Monday - Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday 1:00-5:00 p.m. The library will close at 1:00p.m. on Wednesday, November 27 and be closed on Thursday, November 28 for Thanksgiving
