Man Arrested With Loaded Gun, Drugs Along Highway In Union Co.
The driver was stopped in the early morning hours of Aug. 16 along the Garden State Parkway.
CRANFORD, NJ - A man was arrested along the Garden State Parkway on Aug. 16 with a loaded gun and other dangerous controlled substances in his vehicle.
According to Cranford Police, an officer stopped the driver of a 2015 black Honda for an equipment violation shortly before 1 a.m. in the area of North Ave. at the Parkway. In the vehicle, police found a loaded Canik 9mm semi-automatic handgun, more than 200 folds of CDS heroin, more than 60 packages of CDS crack-cocaine, prescription pills and multiple pressed pills they thought to be ecstasy.
James A. Sabb, 41 of Keansburg, was taken into custody without conflict, and was committed to the Essex County Jail while he waits for a detention hearing.

He is charged with second-degree possession of a firearm while conspiring to commit a CDS violation, third-degree possession of a firearm, fourth-degree possession of hollow-nose ammunition, fourth-degree possession of a large capacity ammunition magazine, second-degree possession of CDS cocaine with intent to distribute, third-degree possession of CDS cocaine, second-degree possession of CDS heroin with intent to distribute, third-degree possession of CDS heroin, third-degree possession of CDS MDMA, and multiple motor vehicle offenses.
