While at the home, police determined that Keish Morrison’s car had been taken from the scene.

The car was tracked to Maryland where the driver Everoy Morrison was stopped for driving the stolen 2019 silver BMW 750 later in the day on April 19. He was arrested and charged with being in possession of the stolen car.

He had been held in the Baltimore County Detention Center in Maryland before arriving in Union County on Thursday afternoon, said authorities.

Morrison, the brother-in-law and uncle of the victims, had been reportedly living in the basement of the home at the time of the homicides.

He is currently being held in the Essex County Jail awaiting his next court appearance.

"We are appreciative of the collaboration with the local and Maryland law enforcement agencies who assisted our Office in locating, apprehending and ultimately bringing Morrison back to New Jersey to face these charges," Daniel said.

Morrison faces up to life in state prison on the charges.
