Man Hit By Lightning Inside Union County Garage
The man was using a power tool when he was electrocuted on Sunday, said police.
CRANFORD, NJ — A Cranford resident was hit by lightning and taken to a hospital for injuries on Sunday, said Cranford Police Captain Matthew R. Nazzaro.
On June 25 at around 1:06 p.m., the Cranford Police Department and Emergency Medical Services went to a Retford Avenue home on the report of an electrocution.
"According to first responders, a resident was inside their garage using a power tool when a lightning strike occurred, which may have charged the power tool and electrocuted the resident," said Nazzaro.

The man was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries without incident.
