Meet Your Heroes: Westfield Fire Department To Host Open House

The free community event includes a tour of the fire headquarters, hands-on activities, aerial ladder and sprinkler demonstrations and more.

WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Fire Department will be opening its doors to the community on Saturday, Oct. 14, for an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to raise safety awareness.

The free community event includes a tour of the fire headquarters, hands-on activities, aerial ladder and sprinkler demonstrations, and more.

As part of October being Fire Prevention Month, throughout the month the Westfield Fire Department will provide fire safety awareness to many members of the community – including families, students, and seniors.

To schedule a visit from the Westfield Fire Department to a class, school, block party, etc., call the Fire Prevention Department at 908-789-4145, or email fireprevention@westfieldnj.gov.

The Westfield Fire Prevention Bureau now has an online sign-up section located at westfieldnj.gov/fire.
