"Many of the firefighters involved in battling this blaze had been working other fires in the area, so mutual aid was needed to assist in the efforts to keep things from getting worse," Hillside Deputy Chief Felipe Sousa told ABC.

On Friday morning, hazmat crews and fire officials from the area were still monitoring the large warehouse fire in Roselle Park that broke out on Thursday afternoon.

While the fire is now under control, the quality of the air regarding chemical exposure was an ongoing concern after the plastic fabricating company building went up in flames.
