NJ Highway Closures After 7 Crashes, One 'Extremely Serious'
At least seven accidents were causing problems during the Monday commute.

Two New Jersey highways were loaded with traffic after at least seven accidents on Monday, one that was labeled "extremely serious."
An "extremely serious" truck-and-car collision has closed lanes for hours on the New Jersey Turnpike, causing significant traffic delays. Two lanes of the car-truck lane portion of the Turnpike were closed in the Woodbridge area, according to the State Police. Read more here....
A pickup truck was also on fire, causing delays on the Garden State Parkway south in Union on Monday afternoon. All lanes on the southbound side were initially closed, but one lane was soon reopened. Read more here...

A four-car accident was also causing traffic delays in Sayreville on the Garden State Parkway on Monday afternoon. State Police said they expected the road to become clear very soon.

- New Jersey Turnpike: Accident on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound North of Interchange 11 - Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge Twp. All lanes open.
- NJ 42: Accident on NJ 42 northbound at Exit 12 - NJ 41 in Deptford Twp. Right shoulder closed use caution.
- NJ 120/Paterson Plank Road: Downed pole, downed wires and a traffic signal down on NJ 120/Paterson Plank Road in both directions at Murray Hill Pkwy in East Rutherford. All lanes closed and detoured.
- NJ 168: Disabled truck on NJ 168 southbound North of NJ 42 in Gloucester Twp. 1 lane closed 5-10 minute delay, use caution.
