No Place For Hate Committee Members Visit Westfield Elementary Schools

The Westfield High School Committee members and the fifth-graders engaged in several activities together.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Students from the Westfield High School "No Place for Hate" Committee visited fifth-graders at Franklin, Jefferson, McKinley, Tamaques, Washington, and Wilson elementary schools.

The visit during the week of April 24-28 was to share the work that No Place for Hate does at the high school and Edison and Roosevelt Intermediate Schools.

During the visits, the high school students and fifth-graders engaged in several activities together: an ice-breaker, a discussion on the meaning of hate, a poem analysis, a discussion of what NPFH is, an exploration of the NPFH Pledge against Hate, a pledge-signing, and an introduction to how students can join NPFH in sixth grade.
