School Bus Overturns On NJ Turnpike: 4 Kids, 1 Adult Hospitalized
A school bus has overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike. 4 students and one adult were sent to hospitals following the crash.
ELIZABETH, NJ — Four children and one adult were transported to a hospital after a school bus overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike near the Goethals Bridge late Thursday afternoon, according to NJ State Police Tpr. Alejandro Goez.
The crash was reported at 3:59 p.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound entering at Exit 13 - I-278 at the Goethals Bridge in Linden. All lanes were closed initially and have since reopened. A one-mile delays is still being reported by state transportation.
Four children were taken to a hospital in Brooklyn, New York and one adult was taken to Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, all with minor injuries, Goez said.

A count of how many people were on board the bus at the time of the crash is unconfirmed, Goez said.
Multiple outlets said there were 40 people on board the bus.

The buses reportedly came from Yeshiva Mevakshei Hashem in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn.
The crash is still an ongoing investigation with New Jersey State Police investigating.
