Plane Crashes While Trying To Take Off At Union County Airport
The pilot was taken to the hospital following the crash on Saturday, according to a media report.
LINDEN, NJ — A plane crashed while trying to take off at Linden Airport on Saturday, said Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Spokeswoman Cassandra Nolan.
The crash happened around 3:35 p.m. on Saturday. Only the pilot was on board the Cessna 172S, a four-seat, single-engine plane, when it crashed, said Nolan.
The plane hit a runway light before coming to a stop in a grassy area near the runway, according to NJ.com.

The pilot was taken to University Hospital in Newark in stable condition, according to NJ.com.
Nolan said the FAA will investigate.
